1. Awarding Body and Payment Agent

The Candybomber Foundation (Charity No. 1213354) is the awarding body for all prizes associated with the Candybomber Game Jam. huhbub Ltd acts as the Foundation’s paying agent, responsible for collecting winner information and disbursing prize funds on the Foundation’s behalf.

2. Eligibility

Prizes are open to verified winners of the Candybomber Game Jam, as announced by the Foundation. Winners must be at least 18 years old, or provide parent or guardian consent if under 18. The Foundation reserves the right to verify identity and eligibility before payment.

3. Prize Acceptance

Winners must complete the official Prize Acceptance Form and confirm these Terms within 30 days of notification. Failure to submit the required information (bank details, ID if requested, or consent forms) within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize.

4. Team Entries

If the winning project was a team entry, the team must decide how the prize will be distributed. One member may receive the full prize on behalf of the team, provided all other team members give explicit consent. Alternatively, each member may receive an individual share by completing a separate Prize Acceptance Form. The Foundation and huhbub Ltd rely on the declarations provided in the form to ensure fair distribution and accept no responsibility for internal team arrangements once payments are made in accordance with submitted consent.

5. Payment

All payments are made by bank transfer to verified accounts. Payments are normally issued within 30 days of receiving complete information, typically within five working days of verification. Prizes are paid in GBP unless otherwise agreed. huhbub Ltd may deduct unavoidable transaction or currency-conversion fees. The Foundation and huhbub Ltd are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect banking details or external processing issues.

6. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising in their country of residence. The Foundation and huhbub Ltd may request tax forms or withhold amounts if required by law (for example, IRS W-8/W-9 forms for US recipients).

7. Intellectual Property

Entrants confirm that all submitted work is their own or lawfully licensed. The Foundation may reference or display submitted material for non-commercial promotional purposes, crediting the creator. All intellectual-property rights remain with the creator.

8. Publicity

By accepting the prize, winners grant permission for the Foundation to publish their name, project title, and a short description for publicity purposes, unless they opt out on the Prize Acceptance Form. No further use of likeness, photographs, or project materials will occur without explicit written consent.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

Personal data will be used only to verify eligibility, process payments, and fulfil legal or audit requirements. Data is processed by the Foundation and huhbub Ltd in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Records related to prize payments are retained for up to six years for accounting and compliance. Winners may contact info@frayworld.com to access or correct personal data, or to withdraw publicity consent.

10. Withdrawal or Termination

The Foundation may withhold or reclaim a prize if false or misleading information is provided. If the Game Jam or prize process must be modified or cancelled for reasons beyond the Foundation’s control, reasonable steps will be taken to treat participants fairly.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be resolved in its courts.
